Hi! Today i am sharing this ‘you’re awesome fly by’ project
I saw the new challenge over at Lawn Fawn ‘spectaculair skies’
I liked this challenge and wanted to join in. So i was thinking about what i could create.
I always play around with my Distress Oxide inks and knew i wanted to use these for a sky.
Not with cloud stencils but a bit more in a artistic way? If that makes sense hahaha.
Well here is what i came up with.
I used Distress Oxide inks squeezed lemonade, scattered straw, carved pumpkin, dried marigold, dusty concord and black sooth.
I had a picture found on pinterest with a sunset sky with these colors. So i knew my lay-out a bit.
I used sponge daubers this time.
I started with the lighest colors. The sun part. And its glow. Then the cloud part. But slowly…from light to dark is easy but the other way around…well hahaha that’s kinda difficult!
Now that i had my sky i had no idea witch stamps i had to use. The sky that was laying in front of me wasn’t really a background for the cute Lawn Fawn stamps. First i was thinking about fairy’s. But the sky would loose its look. Then i found the airplane stamp set. I didn’t have that one so i had to order it hahaha. I did because i really liked it and i knew i would use it more.
So when this Lawn Fawn -plane and simple stamp set arrived i went straight to my desk. I stamped the two images and colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers. I cut them out with my scissors.
I went, with a black marker, around the edges to give it a finished look.
I popped the images on the card panel with foam squares.
I heat embossed the words ‘plane and simple’ on black cardstock with WOW opac bright white embossing powder. I placed the strip on the card panel with foam squares.
I glued the card panel on black cardstock.
