Watercolor hey friend card

Hello! Today i am sharing this ‘watercolored hey friend’ project

i am entering with this card the Simon Says Challenge, June theme on Instagram!

Started watercoloring the leaves and flowers.
I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens for this. I colored some ink on my teflon mat and lift the ink up with some water and a water brush pen. I used good watercolor paper because that will defenetly help you.
I let them dry completely before i used my basic black fineliner. I have got this from my local Action store. I drew some thin lines around the watercolor areas. Then i just fuzzy cut them all out with my scissors.

Here you can see how i just got started
watercoloring with my water brush pen and Zig’s

I wanted to add a touch of gold. I used my VersaMark Watermark pen to add some stripes here and there on the leaves and the 3 roses. I used WOW – matalic gold sparkle to give a beautiful shine on it.

I didn’t want my card panel be totaly white so i used Distress Oxide ink, spun sugar. I placed some of the ink on my teflon mat and spritzed water on it. I wiggled my panel trough the ink and splattered some drops as well. I let this dry completely. I placed this panel on my card with foam tape.

I die cut a circle from white cardstock with a circle from Nellie Snellen -Nellie’s Choice-multi frame straight round 2 set. In the center of this circle i die cut ‘Hey friend’ from The Stamp Market -Jumbo Tag die set.
I used a bigger circle die for the vellum circle and a smaller circle die for the background circle (so you could not see through the letters). I glued these all together. I placed it on the panel with foam squares.

Now i could arange the flowers and leaves. I just placed them how i liked them. I glued all the leaves first with tacky glue and for the flowers i used foam squares, to give them some dimension.

I got this idea from Karin Joan, on Instagram
