Relax birthday card

Hey there! Today i am sharing this ‘time to relax birthday’ project

I cut a bunch of stripes of white cardstock with my Fiskars paper trimmer. Just eyeballed how big i wanted them to be. Some thin and some thick.

I inked them with some different brands ink. Why? Because i have seen this color palette on a picture of a garage door and i just loved it. So i wanted these specific colors. I used with my Distress Oxides: shaded lilac and tumbled glass together, picked rasberry and candied apple together, squeezed lemonade, tattered rose, antique linnen and spun sugar. With my Memento dew drop ink i used nautical blue. From my Versamagic dew drop i used persimmon. And i used plain white stripes.

On white cardstock i placed double sided tape. On this i placed the stripes in the same color palette i had seen. I used my Fiskars paper trimmer to cut of the edges.

I stamped with Versafine onyx black ink the stamps from Darkroom Door – tropical island on the stripes in my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I stamped them twice to get a nice black image.

I heat embossed the ‘happy birthday’ from the SSS Tiny Words, on black cardstock with WOW –opac bright white- embossing powder. I trimmed this down with my scissors to create a little rectangle. I popped this on the stripes with foam squares.

One more thing!

I used two of my DIY photo backdrops for these photo’s. There will be a blogpost soon how i made them!
