Rainbow sentiment strip card

Hi! Today i am sharing this ‘rainbow sentiment strip’ project

I wanted to create something like i have been seeing at pinterest/instagram. Project ts from scrapbookers! They always inspire me and i love all the colors, flowers and images they use. But the size is an issue for me. I needed to down size it to card measurments.
I gave it a try hahaha.

I started with the strips. I used my Fiskars papertrimmer to get strips of white cardstock.
Big enough for the sentiments and small enough to get all the colors on the card that i want.
I inked the strips with Distress Oxide inks, top to bottom : picked raspberry, worn lipstick, spun sugar, dried marigold, antique linen, squeezed lemonade, bundled sage, cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, tumbled glass, faded jeans, milled lavender, wilted violet, aged mahogany and victorian velvet.

I wanted to use alot of the sentiments from Karin Joan’s Blooming line for Studio Light Nl. The two stamp and die sets.
I heat embossed the sentiments with WOW opac bright white embossing powder.
But just not all. Because of the light colors of some strips i used Distress Oxide inks to stamp the sentiments.

I glued some of the strips on the card panel and some with foam squares.

I stamped and die cutted the leaves and flowers from Karin Joan’s Blooming line for Studio Light Nl. The stamp and die set.
I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers.
I glued them at the left side of the strips.

I used a little splatter stamp and stamped in the same color as the strip, some splatters.
At the end i think i would not do this again and leave the space white. But i wanted to follow the scrapbook image now.

For some sparkle and shine, i used gold glitter hearts and sequins.
