Hello! Today i am sharing this ‘merry penguin shaker’ project
With this card i am entering the Create A Smile Stamps – Sketch Challenge over at their blog!
Started with stamping the penguins on the card panel. I used my new stamping tool from Nellie Snellen -Stamping buddy. I eye-balled everything.
I stamped them with Versafine onyx black ink. I colored them in with two alcohol markers from the Action, a local store here. I used the Twinmarkers grey and black. For the high-lights i used the white Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
For the other colors i used Spectrum Noir Markers.
I die cut a circle from Nellie Snellen -Nellie’s Multi Frame circle dies, in the card panel. I glued a piece of acetate sheet at the back of it.
I die cut a larger circle and ink blended it with Distress Oxide inks tumbled glass and cracked piostachio. I splattered some white ink and water on it. glued it on the card base.
I added the little penguin one a piece of fish-wire, so it would stay on his place but can wiggle a little bit.
I stacked some circle die cuts to give the shaker part some stability. I added for the dimension a piece of double sided tape around the circle.
I added some sequins and glued the two pieces together.
For some finishing touch i added a circle at the card panel around the shaker part.
I gold heat embossed the ‘merry christmas’ from Create A Smile Stramps –cool buddies on a piece that i inked with cracked pistachio.
Created a rectangle from some red glitter cardstock and glued this behind the sentiment strip. Placed them on the card panel with foam squares.
