Hugs & love leaf card

Hey! Today i am sharing this ‘hugs & love leaf’ project

I am entering with this card the Simon Says Challenge, August theme on Instagram!

I ink blended the background with 4 Distress Oxide inks. I used the colors black sooth, aged mahogany, victorian velvet and tattered rose.

I die cut the Clustered Leaves die from SSS three times. On white cardstock, vellum and watercolor cardstock that i have lightly watercolored with distress oxide ink  worn lipstick, and in the middle a little bit of aged mahogany.

I used gold flakes and Ecoline gold on some of the watercored leaves. Just a bit random. I die cut two leaves with gold glitter cardstock and glued those on the watercolored ones.

I glued the watercolored leaves on the white one, so it had a nice dimension. I glued this on the inked card panel. Not the leaves though, just the branch in the middle. This way the leaf outlines are loose and i can glue the inside of the leaves a bit off centre on the panel, behind them.
I glued four vellum leaves on top of the outline leaves.

I die cut from SSS -Flickering Butterflies on watercolor cardstock. I glued three of the butterflies on the leaves with Ranger Glossy Accents.

I stamped with Versafine onyx black ink the sentiment ‘hugs & love’ from SSS -Tiny Words on the same watercolored piece as the leaves. I trimmed this down to a little square and popped this on the card with foam squares.

For some finishing touch i splattered white ink with a brush on the card.
