Hi! Today i am sharing this ‘hip hip hooray shaker’ project with you
Started with inking the stripes on white cardstock with Distress Oxide inks. I used the colors tumbled glass, twisted citron, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin, worn lipstick, picked raspberry, candied apple, worn lipstick with a little bit picked raspberry and spun sugar.
I measured the panel with my t-ruler and drew some thin dots where i wanted my stripes.
I aranged the letters ‘hip’ with Concord and 9th -Double-Cut Alphabet dies.
I die cut the word ‘hip’ two times on my panel. I eye balled where i wanted them to be and used my t-ruler to line them up. Don’t throw the outlines away..we will use them later.
I die cut on black cardstock the word ‘hooray’ with Concord and 9th -Double-Cut Alphabet dies. I glued them on the panel.
I fliped the panel and glued some acetate sheets behind the two hip words.
I placed double sided foam tape around the words and on the rest of my panel. I used one layer because my confetti is thin. It will have room enough to wiggle around.
I used my anti-static bag to whipe the insides of the words. This way the confetti wont stick to it.
I punched out some confetti from shiny silver cardstock. I placed them on the ‘hip’ words. This will create the shaker effect.
Now i glued the outlines from the words ‘hip’ on the front of the acetate.
I placed my card base on top of the panel and for some extra shine i glued some sequins from Cathrine Pooler sequins mix -Carter Lake.
Now the card is ready to shake!
