Hello! Today i am sharing this ‘hello happy birthday’ project
I started by measuring my card panel and the strips. The strips needed to be wide enough for the ‘hello’ stamp from Concord and 9th -Mini Spirograph Turnabout stamp set.
I came out on 10 strips.
Now i had to choose my colors. I wanted something with rainbowcolors. I got from Distress Oxide inks from top to bottom the colors : picked raspberry, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, tattered rose and squeezed lemonade together, antique linen, twisted citron, cracked pistachio, tumbled glass, shaded lilac and wilted violet.
Before i inked the strips i heat embossed the word ‘hello’ from Concord and 9th -Mini Spirograph Turnabout stamp set. I used VersaMark watermark ink pad and WOW clear embossing powder.
I placed the strips in my Tonic Studio -Tim Holtz
stamp platform. This way the word ‘hello’ got on the same place everytime.
I placed the strips with double sided foam tape on the card panel.
I die cut the word ‘Hello’ on white cardstock with Concord and 9th -Double-Cut Alphabet dies.
I used the outline and glued them on the strips.
I heat embossed the ‘happy birthday’ from SSS -tiny words on black cardstock. I trimmed this down to a little rectangle. I place this on the strips with foam squares.
At the bottom of the card base i placed a soft pink wax thread with a little bow.
At the left side i punched a little whole in the card where the thread goes through.
For some shine i glued 8 sequins from Cathrine Pooler Designs sequins mix -crater lake, on the strips.
