Hey! Today i am sharing this ‘rainbow tild card’ project
First i want to say that Jennifer McGuire Ink has a great video tutorial on Youtube for split cards!
I started making two front panels from white cardstock. I scored at the left sides about 1,5 cm. So those can go around my third piece of carstock (the inside of my card). I die cut on one front piece, that will go on the top, a cloud edge at the bottom. I used one edgelit from Stampin’up –Rainbow Builder Framelits. I did the same at the bottom piece. I die cut the cloud edge on the top of that one.
I die cut the same cloud edgelits on gold cardstock, twice. I glued these, at the back, on the two front panels so you can see a small edge of gold.
I had a piece of the rainbow/gold pattern paper laying around. This was the pattern paper that i had made myself for the ‘YAY happy birthday’ card. You can find the details for this in that tutorial. I die cut the heart from Pink and Main –Double Stitched Heart Dies. I die cut it on white cardstock too. Now i could see how much open space i can have on my card. The top and bottom of that heart must be glued on the top panel and bottom panel. I glued it with Ranger Glossy Accents after i glued the scored sides around my inside panel. At the back of the heart i glued that white heart. So the inside looks nice too.
The cute little unicorn is a sticker that i had bought a long time ago in my local Wibra store. I placed it on the heart with foam squares.
But before i glued the front panels on my inside panel i had to finish this inside panel. I inked it with Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass and Worn Lipstick and a stencil from SSS –Clouds For Days. So this panel has a nice soft look of clouds.
I die cut three clouds from white cardstock with SSS –Best ever stamp set, matching dies. I punched out a star and a heart, from two clouds. I glued a piece of gold glitter cardstock behind it.
I stamped happy birthday from SSS –Best ever on one cloud with Versafine onyx black ink. I placed them on my card with foam squares.
For some shine i glued three sequins on the card with Ranger Glossy Accents.
