Happy birthday flag card

Hi! Today i am sharing this ‘happy birthday flag’ project

First i want to say about this card is that there are so many dies out there…but don’t forget about your scissors or/and papertrimmer! πŸ™‚
When i see a card on pinterest or instagram that i like, i always think if i have a die like that. And for some shapes you really do not need a die (saves you some money too)
I made these little flags with my scissors and papertrimmer.
Let’s get started!

I cut out from white cardstock the letters ‘happy’. I used the dies from Concord and 9th -Double-Cut Alphabet dies. I used the outlines.

I used VersaMark watermark ink on a piece of white cardstock. I inked the whole paper with the pad.
I sprinkled it with Nuvo Embossing powder -Gold Enchantment Glitter. I heat set it with my heat tool.  I die cut the letters on the heat embossed cardstock that i needed for the word ‘birthday’. I used Concord and 9th – Double-Cut Alphabet dies for this.

I measured how big i wanted my flags. I trimmed down white cardstock to get 5 little squares.
I inked them with Distress Oxides spun sugar, picked raspberry, twisted citron and tumbled glass. From Versamagic ink i used persimmon.
I cut out the fish tails with my scissors.
I drew lines with my Versamark marker on the bottom. I heat embossed that with Nuvo Embossing powder -Gold Enchantment Glitter.
I drew little lines above the gold and punched out the tiny holes.
I glued the letters ‘happy’ on the flags and villed them with Ranger Glossy Accents.
I used a white wax thread to hang them on.

I cut out a panel for the card. I stamped some hearts here and there with Versamagic inks. I used persimmon, aquatic splash and key lime.
I second stamped the heart, from Concord and 9th -Mini Spirograph Turnabout, so it is very light.

I punched out two little holes at the top corners. Here will my white wax thread go through. And at the back i will tape it down.
I placed the panel on the card base with foam tape.

With my t-ruler on the card i glued the word ‘birthday’.

I glued 5 sequins  from Catherine Pooler -sequins mix-crater lake on the card. I used Ranger Glossy Accents for this.
