floating penguins card

Hi! Today i am sharing this ‘floating penguins birthday’ project

If you want to see a bit of the penguins to wiggle..check my Instagram page !

For coloring this card i (almost) only used Distress Oxide inks! You can do inking and coloring with them, even with shadows!

ink blending the card panel

I started with inking my card panel. I used Distress Oxide inks tumbled glass, fade jeans and black sooth.
I wanted a galaxy kind of background.
I inked it with a make-up brush so i had more control about the intensity of the colors.
I splattered some water on the panel with a brush. I also splattered some white ink with a brush.

here i have splattered water and white ink on the card panel

I inked the card base sides with Distress Oxide inks faded jeans and tumbled glass.

I stamped three pinguïns and two rainbows from Penguin Palace -penguin agenda stamp, on white cardstock with Versafine -onyx black ink.
I masked one of the pinguïns so i could stamp the balloons on top of him too.
I colored them with Distress Oxide inks and a small tip brush.
For some high lights i used Sakura Gelly Roll pen white and black.
I fussycut all the images.

I die cut with a circle die two small circles on my card panel. This is where i wanted to have my floating pinguïns.
I die cut with a bigger circle die two circles from cardstock. On these circles i will attache the pinguïns.

I placed the two bigger circles behind the small ones that are on the card panel. I placed a double layer of foam squares on the big circles.
I placed the two pinguïns with balloons on these foam squares. They can wiggle now!

I placed the other pinguïn and two rainbows on the panel with foam squares.

On a piece of white cardstock that i inked with Distress Oxide ink tumbled glass, i stamped ‘happy birthday’ from SSS -tiny words. I glued a piece of  silver glitter cardstock behind it. I placed it on the card panel with foam squares.

I placed the card panel on the card base with a double layer of double sided foam tape.
Make sure you do not go to close to the circles. They need to move freely

I glued with Ranger Glossy Accents a few sequins from Cathrine Pooler -crater lake sequins mix.
