Hi! Today i am sharing this ‘congrats bokeh sketch’ project
I started with stamping the mice and candy. I used the stampset from Create A Smile Stamps – back to school. I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers and for some extra details i used a white Gelly Roll pen.
I did used a piece of pattern paper for the cone. I stamped the same image on this pattern paper and cut (the inside of the stamped black line) it out with my scissors. I glued this piece on the white stamped piece.
I always forget about these technique’s. Happy i remembered it this time because it gives such a fun detail to a stamp.
I popped the images on a white circle and stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink.
I inked up the card panel with Distress Oxide inks dusty concord , seedless preserves and spun sugar. I used spunge doublers for the inking. I knew where i wanted the circle to be so i knew where i needed to go from dark to light.
I splattered some water on the panel to react the Distress Oxide inks. Such a fun effect.
The Sketch showed three lines with sort of circles and that made me think about the bokeh effect.
I used a stencil with three different sized circles and
I started with softly inking the circles. And i mean really soft handed! You can always go darker but going lighter is almost impossible.
I looked at the Sketch to know where i needed the bokeh effect. I didn’t really think about where i need to place the circels. It just comes out of me hahaha. It took me a few minutes and for me it is better to not overthink it.
I used a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add some dots around the bokeh circels. I mostly did a group of three.
I also drew with this pen, some sparkling stars here and there.
I popped the circle on the card panel with foam squares. And i placed the card panel on the card base with double sided foam tape.
